Galleria kunstfestival/utflytterstevnet 2012

Kjernen i Galleria kunstfestival er Mosjøen sentrum og Sjøgato med miljøet som finnes der. I 6 år har publikum strømmet til den gamle bydelen for å fråtse i kunst og kultur under festivalen. Vefsn kommune fremhever Mosjøen som kulturby og Sjøgato fremstår som en liten oase for kunst, musikk, spesialbutikker og særegne spisesteder, spesielt under Galleria kunstfestival.

Galleria ønsker å markere Mosjøens engasjement og mangfold innenfor kulturen. Hvert år feirer festivalen visuelle uttrykk kombinert med en mengde konserter og forestillinger – i Sjøgato, til et mektig bakteppe av elva Vefsna og Øyfjellet ”skyline” (818 m.o.h).

I løpet av den ukelange festivalen presenteres nærmere 100 kunstnere og artister på rundt 40 utstillinger og scener (2011). Her kan publikum nyte kunst og kultur i en avslappet setting, både dag og natt. I tillegg til kunstutstillinger og forestillinger vil man også kunne oppleve gatekunstnere og gateartister.

Galleria er en uke med frie utstillinger, møte med kunstnere og artister, turer, forestillinger, avsluttes med en gedigen byfest og tiltrekker over 10.000 publikummere fra alle himmelstrøk. Galleria 2012 vil skje samtidig og i samarbeid med Utflytterstevnet.

Galleria Art Festival / Homecoming reunion 2012

The core of Galleria arts festival is down town Mosjøen in Sjøgato with the environment that exists there. In 6 years, audiences have flocked to the old town to indulge in art and culture during the festival. Vefsn municipality highlights Mosjoen as cultural place and Sjøgato appears as a small oasis of art, music, specialty shops and distinctive dining options, especially during the Galleria arts festival.

Galleria want to mark Mosjøen`s involvement and presence in the culture.

Each year the festival celebrates the diversity within the visual expression combined with a variety of concerts and performances - in Sjøgato, at a mighty backdrop of the river Vefsna and “The Øyfjell skyline" (818 m).

During the weeklong festival more than 100 artists and performers are presented in some 40 exhibitions and stages (2011). Here the public can enjoy art and culture in a relaxed setting, both day and night. In addition to art exhibitions and performances you will be able to see street artists and street performers.

Galleria is a unique collection of free exhibitions, meetings with artists and performers, tours, performances and more, which attracts over 10,000 spectators from all corners of the globe. Gallery 2012 will take place simultaneously and in conjunction with the Homecoming reunion event and even more visitors are expected.
