Terms for exhibiting at Galleria Art Festival July 7th – 14th, 2012
Exhibition Location: Various venues in down town Mosjøen.

- Participant fee NOK 1250, -
This includes:
- Disposal wall for exhibition: Approximately 7 meters long wall. (For objects and sculptures requires individually valued spatial)
- No limitations to the total number of art works that can be exhibited during the festival period. (Exhibitors may sell artwork “off the wall” as long as it replaces with new artwork).
- Artist review in the catalogue / program. (Printed in about 5000 items and on the website).
- Noted on maps and signs
- General marketing and PR / info
- The art works must be submitted ready to be exhibited.
- Works intended for mounting on the wall is to be “installation ready”, equiped with appropriate hanging system. The organizers do not pay for framing or similar.
- It is expected that the artist will arrange appropriate tables, pedestals, shelves, etc. to the art / craft items such as ceramics, glass and the like. Galleria Art Festival is happy to provide equipment as needed from the artist.
- The artist should initially be present during the exhibition period, unless other arrangements are made. In need for detachment at the exhibition site an agreement with the organizers can be done. The artist must be present at opening and closing day
- The exhibition will take place in various venues in downtown Mosjøen. Distinctive showrooms are one of the the art festivals main characters and the artist showrooms are directed by the administration of Galleria Art Festival. The exhibition sites premises is highly variable, ranging from white-painted walls of rough panels and timber in old warehouses.
- Works of art is to be assembled to walls etc. with staple, hook or screw in a usual way in agreement with the organizer.
- The event takes place from Saturday 7th of July to Saturday 14th of July.
The following hours is to be complied by the Exhibitor:
(Friday 6th of July – rigging and suspension, until 11 PM)
Saturday 7th of July, from 13 PM to 5 PM
and from 6 PM to 9 PM
Sunday 8th of July, from 13 PM to 4 PM
From Monday 9th July to Friday 13th of July from 12 PM to 5 PM
and from 6 PM to 9 PM
Saturday 14th of July from 12 PM to 4 PM
Changes and adjustments may happen
The works can be installed from Friday 6th of July and should be in place at the exhibition site before Saturday, 7th of July at 12 PM
Installation of the exhibition is in collaboration between artist and the organizer. The organizers have the opportunity to evaluate and regulate the aesthetics of the presentation.
- The exhibition can be removed by Saturday 17th of July, from 4 PM, and artwork that is not sold must be collected. After this termination organizers' responsibility.
- The necessary artistic information and arts activities for use in press releases, websites, advertising, etc. should be sent to exhibit organizer by June the 1th of June 2012.
- Photos of a representative work for use in the catalog is to be sent electronically to post@galleria.no within 1th of June 2012.
- The organizer prepares and distributes a catalogue / program containing exhibitor lists artists information and maps over viewing the exhibition area. This information will also be presented on www.galleria.no.
- The organizers will provide the public with marked and press information such as press releases and marketing on paper and the internet.
- The organizer does not cover shipping costs. The exhibitor is responsible for shipping and installation of the artwork.
- Shipping of art work and exhibiting at Galleria Art Festival is at artists own risk and insurance have to be taken care of by the artists them-selves.
- The Organizer does not estimate any commission of sales. Exhibitors are responsible for sales of artwork during the exhibition, if not otherwise agreed separately with the organizers.
- The parts are familiar with the provisions of the Norwegian Act of 4 November 1948 regarding tax on public sales of visual art. In addition to the purchase price the buyer shall pay a fee of 5% to Visual Artists' Relief Fund for pictures with price more than NOK 2000, -. Exhibitor is responsible for this payment.
- Agreed exhibition space shall be kept by both parts. Neither part may withdraw from the exhibition without the other part agrees, unless illness, accidents, strikes, boycots, termination of lease or if similar prevents the parties to the agreement.
- The organizer will not pay any exhibition fee to the artist. If there are cases where exhibition fee comes under consideration the parts commits to inform each other about this before the exhibition contract is concluded.
- Sale of pictures and settlement for this, is the exhibitor's own responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
- The parts are aware that the (Norwegian) law of 12 May 1961 about copyright. Photography of the exhibited works is not permitted without the author's consent. Exceptions are photography for personal use, information about Galleria Art Festival, illustration of art criticism, scientific review or press coverage.
- Any dispute between the exhibitor and the organizer is to be resolved by negotiations. If negotiations prove unsuccessful, the dispute will be brought before the ordinary courts for decision.
